A COURSE with SWAMI SARADANANDA
Mudras for Modern Life
5-week course with Swami Saradananda, author of "Mudras for Modern Life"
Wed, 7 Sept-5 Oct, 7:30-9pm (London time)
Join Swami Saradananda, author of the best-selling book “Mudras for Modern Life” in an exciting exploration of ways to use your hands to channel energy for self-healing and inner peace.
Mudras are hand gestures that seal prana into specific channels within the subtle body. They are potent spiritual tools that can enhance purification and good health. With regular practice, mudras can help to restore physical, mental and psychic balance.
In this 5-week course, Swami Saradananda introduces you to the basic energetic concepts of working with mudras. Each class promises to be unique in its practical as well as theoretical approach. You will learn about the subtle energies in the hands and each finger, and will be encouraged to experience them with your own hands.
The course is also of particular interest to anyone who works on a computer. It includes practices that can help prevent such problems as repetitive stress injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and bursitis. Classes include hand exercises that not only enable you to better practice mudras, but also help you to release tension in your fingers, hands, arms and shoulders. A segment of each class will focus on hand health and flexibility.
